I I � I Pursuant to adjournment of July 2nd, 1923 the REGULAR regular meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by President Drew. i ROLL CALL Trustees .Present: Onson, Macklin, Obarr, Andrews, and Drew. Trustees Absent: None . , Reports of the City Clerk, City Treasurer, Recorder EE20RTS FOR and Building Inspector, for the month of June were JUNE , 1923 read and on motion by Trustee Onson and seconded by Trustee Andrews were accepted and placed on file. i �A communication from Non-Pariel Athletie Club Main- tained by Jack McDonough and Lou Lawton was read, requesting a permit to hold a boxing contest at REQUEST FOR 214 5th Street, on the night of July 20th. BOXING CONTEST On Motion by Trustee Onson seconded by Trustee � Obarr the permit was gra&ed. COT 'NNICATION- A communication from the Womans Relief Corp was r VvOIrIA14S RELIEF CORP presented, thanking the Board for granting permission to use the Auditorium. Building Inspector Gates presented an application for a permit to construct an apartment house at REQUEST FOR -`nth and Ocean Avenue in behalf of E. B. Greenshaw. V It was reported that the Huntington Central Oil Company was permitting oil to run upon the street, and on motion by HUNTINGTON Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee Onson, the City Attorney CENTRAL OIL CO. was instructed to notify the Huntington Central Oil Company TO CLEAN UP to immediately clean up the oil that had been permitted to run OIL FRO14 S` I=I To on the street from their wells #1 and #3 located at Main and Wesley, and to inform them that this practieemust be stopped. jCity Engineer Gates reported conference with IuLT Deimling of RE: New Street Southern California Edison Company, who promised to have the Lights. new street lights connected within a week.
