BOLL CALL 'Trustees Present: Onson, i,Tacklin, 1.ndrews , and Drew. Trustees Absent : Obarr. i i RECESS President Drew declwred a recess for fifteen minutes. i E The Board was then again called to order and President Drew advised the members of the Board that it was now time to award CON`iRAIUT the contract for paving and lighting of Ocean Avenue and in- AV.ARDED vited expressions from any member of the Board and Trustee I FOR PAVING AND Andrews at this time offered a motion, seconded by Trustee LIGHTING OCEAN Macklin that the sealed bU% of George IVI Souter, regularly ! AVENUE. submitted to this }hoard, on July 23, 1923 pursuant to notice ALL OTHER BIDS inviting bids therefor, to improve Ocean Avenue for the sum ' REJECTED. of $2U, 900.00, be accepted and all other bids be rejected. The Clerk was instructed by the President to call the roll I and the motion was carried by the following votes : AYES , Trustees Onson,- Macklin, Andrews and Drew. NOES , Trustees None � Absent Trustee Obarr. 1 Request for a permit to conduct a boxing exibitionAg%' 5th + Street on August 3rd, signed b� Jack McDonough and Lou Elwton i was presented, accompanied by 05.00 to cover the license . ✓ BOXING EXHIBITION On motion by Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee Onson the permit was granted. It was moved by Trustee Macklin, seconded by 'Trustee Onson that Contractor Geo. 11. Qder be required to furnish a conunon CONTRACTOR law bond in the amount of^25% of the total of the contract, REQUIRED TO for improving of Ocean Avenue , in addition to the 50% bond � FURNISH COMMON to secure labor and material men.
