The regular meeting was called to order at 7 :30 JI.
Regular by President Drew. ',
toll Call Trustees present, Macklin, Obarr, Annrews and Drew.
Trustees absent, Onson.
Minutes for the month of September were read and
idinutes approved approved on motion by Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee
Andrews.
Regular mont' ly reports of the Clerk, Treasurer, Re.,--
corder, Iliarshall , Building Inspector and Librarian were
read, accepted and ordered placed on file on motion by
Monthly Reports Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee Obarr.
The request for a permit to hold a boxing exhibition
3 at the Huntington Beach Athletic Club , 214s5th Street

granted ,on motion by Trustee Macklin, seconded by Trustee �

Major Upham, Commander of the Orange Post of the Amer-
ican Legion, also Commander of the Orange County Council
Request for band of the American Legion, addressed the Board in behalf of the

I:Ir. Bert Boyer. proposed to rent the old City Hall

This being the time for receiving bids for grading
and excavation work on certain portions of Ocean Avenue
Bids for work on as set forth in Resolution #399 , the Clerk opened and
certain portions declared the following bids :

analysis and a ten minute recess taken to allow the
Engineer time to itake the analysis.
The Board was again celled to order and Engineer
Gates reported that G. I.I. Souter' s bid figured on the
G. I. Souters estimated quanties 06860.00 and F. A. and J. B. Fleish-
bid accepted. man 9005.00. A motion was then offered by Trustee I,Iack-
lin, seconded by Trustee Andrews that the bid of G. !,I.
