regular Pursuant to adjournment December 3rd , the regular meeting
was called to order at 7 :30 -2. DI. by President Drew.

A communication from the John Mansville Company with ref-

the City of Huntington Beach would pay their proportion of
the expenses , not to exceed $100.00, provided all the cities
participating in this work pay their share.
The Clerk brought up the matter of personal property tax

Taxes on Jots 15 and 17 Block 812 which is owned b Gladys kelim Follansbee .

The Clerk was instructed to prepare figures, showing the
812. IJrs. loll- amount assessed in error, and to advise sirs. Follansbee that
anbbee. the Board would entertain a demand for refund of such taxes
as were not rightfully assessed upon the property. This in
view of the fact that the personal property of the Rhoads
Oil Company was located upon a lease containing numerous lots
and not exclusively upon lots of Mrs. Follansbee.
The Clerk presented an application for authority :to .purchase
To purchase a' new adding machine at a cost not to exceed $250.00, which

adding rLachine authority was granted on motion by Trustee idacklin seconded by
Trustee Andrews.
Contractors bonds were submitted by the Huntington Beach
Bonds approved. Electric Company and W. A. Jenkins, Plumber d' City Attorney
having approved these bonds as to form, a motion by Trustee
Macklin seconded by Trustee Andrews that the bonds be- approved
was carried.

Ordinance #268 revising the parking rules on Main Street
Ordinance �268 between Orange and Magnolia was given seconded reading and

passed and upon motion by Trustee Macklin seconded by Trustee Onson, was
adopted. passed and adopted by the following votes.
Ayes, Trustees : Onson, Macklin, Obarr, Andrews , Drew.
Noes, Trustees: None

On motion by Trustee Onson seconded by Trustee Macklin bills
Bills allowed approved by the finance committee were allowed as follows:

Resolution #407 adopting plans and specifications for the

Resolution #409 adopting plans and specifications for the

Resolution #410 declaring the intention fo the Board to
improve Eleventh Street with an ornamental lighting system

passed and was read , passed and adopted on motion by Trustee Onson,
adopted. seconded by Trustee Macklin by the follwing votes:

City engineer, to On motion by Trustee Yacklin_ secohded'-by Trustee Andrews
warn Oil Com- the City Engineer was instructed to publish a notice in the
