Ordinance #270 establishing an official bench Iiiark for the City
Ordinal ce 4270 of Huntington Beach was given second -reading and6"mot ion by Trustee:
4 passed and adopted Onson seconded by Trustee idacklin was passed and adopted by the
following vote :
Ayes , Trustees , Oneon, 1ilacklin, Obarr , Andrews , Drew.
Hoes , 'Trustees , None
Absent , 'rustees , None
It was moved by 'Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Macklin that the
Bond of Joseph bond of the American Surety Company for $200 ,000.00 of Joseph Vavra
Vavra to be canceled City measurer , be canceled as of -Ha.rch 12, 1924 , and the City
Clerk be authorized to cancel same and release the Surety Company
from liability thereunder for future action of the City Treasurer,
i�hich was carried .
On motion by Trustee Orson seconded by Trustee Macklin bills
Bills allowed . approved by the Finance committee end signed by th✓ President of

passed and adopted City Clerk) awarding the contract to George iti Souter for the
improvement of Fifth Street be adopted , which was carried .
Trustee Obarr seconded by Trustee Onson moved that Resolition
Resolution_ r 4 2 8 =428 ( a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk)
passed °and adopted awarding the contract for the improvement of Tenth Street to
George !A Souter be adopted , which was carried .
Trustee Andrews seconded by 'trustee Obarr moved that resolution

passed and adopted awarding the contractfor the imfz- ovement of fifteenth Street to
George 1A Souter be adopted , which was carried. ,
Tr.astee Obarr seconded by Trustee 1J11a.cklin moved that the bids
}aids for Eleventh for the installation of an ornamental lighting system on Eleventh
Street taken under Street -ne ta.ker_ under advisement until the m xt meeting, which
:advisement was carried.
The plans and specifications for the public Comfort Station
dverti2e for bids in Seventeenth Street Park were approved , and on motion by 'Trustee
for Comfort Station lAacklin seconded. by Trustee Obarr, the Clerk wasinstructed to
in 17th Street Park. advertise for bids for the construction of a public Comfort
Station at Seventeenth Street Park in accordance with the plans I
and specifications on file. r '

Transformer for Ocean that the City }engineer be instructed to confer irii th the Southern
!avenue Street lights. Caliiornia, Edison. Company relative to the early installation of a
transformer for the Ocean 1,venue Street lights.
A fifteen minute recess wL;s declared at this time .
The Board was again called to order and Resolrti, ion r426 adopting
Resolution 7r426 plans and specifications for the paving of Ocean Avenue from the
()@,ssed and adopted . center line of First Street to the center line of Hampshire Ave-
nue , the easterly city limi t,s , was read and on motion by Trustee
Onson seconded by Trustee Macklin was passed and adopted by the
following votes :
Ayes , Trustees , Onsor-, -V;iacklin, -Obarr, i:ndrevvs , Drew.
Noes , Trustees , None
Absent , j-rustees , None .

Advertise for bids was instructed to advertise for bids for the carr,-y-irg out of the
