.The regular meeting was called to order by
REGULAR President Ridenour at 8:00 P.M.

AUGUST MINU`1ES APPROVED Minutes for the month of August were read .and approved.
The regular order of. business. was dispensed with the
chair inviting those present with matters to bring before

`1'HL BOARD the matter of oiling llth Street between ivl.in and Lake.
He pointed out the fact that the present condition of llth
Street in this area is such that it was a serious handicap
for the Boy Scouts, at their cabin_. He also stated that
there were bills unpaid on the construction offthe cabin
in Lake Street park and requested that the Board honor
demands covering these unpaid bills stating that they would r
BOARD TO HONOR DEMANDS not exceed $300.00. On motion by Trustee Wharton seconded
NOT FXCEEDING $300 by Trustee Macklin, Engineer Billings was instructed to

Clerk was instructed to draw warrants for payment of
amounts due on the building in Lake park not to exceed
$300.00 and the same to be paid from the Mutic & Promotion
Fund.

APPROVED were read and approved.
A written application for a permit to hold an amateur box-
TUG PERP;IITS GRANTED ing exhibition at 214-5th Stteet on the evening of September
FOR BOXING 5th was presented' and approved on motion by Trustee Wharton
EXHIBITION seconded by Trustee Drew. A similar request was presented
for a boxing exhibition_ at the same location for September 12
which was approved on motion by Trustee Wharton seconded by
Trustee Drew.
A communication from the Huntington Beach Realty,. Board l'.
was read with reference to the matter of license tax' provided in
COITLNIUNIC.ITION FROI,1 the present Business License Ordinance. After some discussion
