CITY HALL DECEMBER 1 , 1924
The regular meeting was called to order at 7 :30 P. M. by
REGULARI' President Ridenour.
ROLL CALL Trustees Present: Wharton, Boster, Ridenour.

The minutes for the month of November were read by the
MINUTES READ & Clerk and approved on motion by 'Trustee IJacklin seconded by
APPROVED Trustee Drew.
Reports of the Clerk, Treasurer, Recorder and Building
REPORTS READ & Inspector were read and approved on motion by 'Trustee 1.1acklin
.APPROVED seconded by Trustee Wharton.
The Clerk asked for authority to transfer from the Gas Fund
TRANSFER OF GAS .300.00 to Gas Interest and Redemption #1 and 01990.00 to Gas
FUNDS APPROVED Interest and redemption #2 to cover current payments on the
outstanding bonds of the Gas Department. which was approved�on/motion

CO-1,5AUNICATION FROM A letter from the Grammar School Board was read setting
GR. SCHOOL BOARD READ forth their position in regard to paving Palm Avenue , which was
ordered placed on file.
LETTER OF CONFIDENCE A letter from the Chamber of Commerce was read conveying the

in the present Board of Trustees which was ordered placed on file.
A letter from L. Sherwood in reference to the burning of oil

BURNING OIL ON BEACH was referred to the City- Engineer with instructions to - handle
AT 13th ST. the matter in the future so that there would be no cause for fur-
ther complaint.
PETITION FILED TO A petition_ was presented, signed by numerous property owners
POSTPONE LIGHTING OF on Huntington Avenue asking; the Board to postpone action on the
HUNTINGTON AVENUE. lighting system proposed to be installed. On motion_ by Trustee
1.4acklin_ seconded by Trustee Boster the matter was taken under ad
visement.
In accordance with recent instructions the clerk presented
CLERK PRESENTS SCHEDULE a schedule of charges submitted by the Southern California Edison_
OF EDISON CO FOR ST Company applying to services rendered for street lights and the
LIGHTS lighting of public buildings.
MECES3 Trustee Drew asked to be excused at this time . The Chair
declared a short recess.

same for the Board.
Resolution #477 adopting plans, specifications , cross-sections.
RESOLUTION #477 and profilQs for Fourteenth Street from Palm Avenue to Main Street
PASSED AND ADOPTED was read , a copy of which is on file in the office of the City
Clerk and on motion by Trustee Macklin seconded by Trustee Wharton
was pas:zed and adopted.by the following vote_.
Ayes: 'Trustees Wharton, DATacklin, Boster , Ridenour.
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee Drew.
Resolution of Intention #478 declaring the intention of the
RESOLUTION #478 Board to improve Fourteenth Street between Palm Avenue and TvIain
:PASSED AND ADOPTED Street.was read, a copy of which is on file in the office of the
Clerk and on motion by Trustee Macklin seconded by Trustee Wharton
was passed and adopted by the following vote :
