Roll Call Trustees present: Boater,Wharton,Mitchell ,Harris Absent: Trustee Ridenour. Minutes read and The minutes for the month of April were read and Approved . approved on motion by Trustee Wharton,seconded by Trustee Harris. • Reports of Teas. The Clerk read the reports of the Treasurer,Recorder, and Recorder Clerk and Controller covering the month of March, and on motion by Trustee Harris ,seconded. by. Trastee Mitchell were approved and ordered placed on file. Julian Pet.Coron, An application .of the Julian Petroleum Corporation to lay , Pipe Line 'permit granted certain pipe lines in the new oil district was read, and on motion by .Harris , seconded by, Mitchell was granted mi th the provision that the work be done under the supervision of the Supt. of Streets and in accordance with City Ordinances. Calif.Pet.Corpn. The Clerk read an application fnmm the California Petroleum Pipe line riser Box Permit granted. Corporation to lay pipe lines and place riser box on. their ,. leased grope rty. in the 17th Street district, and on motion by Wharton, seconded by Trustee Mitchell the request was granted provided the work was done in accordance with existing City Ordinances and that the box be placed on level with the surface of the ground. Appropriation for Letters from the Woman's Club and the Parent Teachers Playground Super- i visor requested . Association calling attention of the Board to . the Children. ' play ground on. the B6ach and asking for an appropriation of A $300. do pay the expense of a playground supervisor were read and referred by the chair to the 1.1usic and Promotion Committee. Overdraft on N&P The .Clerk read a letter from Joseph Vavra,City Treasurer Fund. calling attention to an overdraft on the Music and Promotion Fund and asking for suggestions in preventing overdrafts on this fund. Changes in Parking A petition_ signed by-. a. number of residents asking for '.,regulations requested certain changes in parking regulations along Main Street and other streets was ordered laid over for joint consideration. On motion by Trustee Wharton,seconded by Trustee Harris , Appointment of F.Ott, Life Guard and Spec. the appointment of Fred Ott as life guard and special officer Officer confirmed. was confirmed. Permit to Cut Curb. A request by O.B•Hitterdahl to cut curb for entrance at 526 8th Street was granted on motion by Trustee .Wharton,seconded by Trustee Harris. 'taking effect immediately and on motion by Trustee Mitchell seconded by Trustee Wharton, the same was accepted.
