Trustees present : Mitchell,Harris,Boster. Trustees absent : Ridenout Minutes for the month of September were read and corrected and Minutes Sert on motion by Trustee Harris seconded by Trustee Mitchell same were approved as read and corrected. Arrl Chas Carroll The Clerk read an application of Charles E Carroll and Eltinge et a1 drill T Brown of the City of Los Angeles for a 50 year oil drilling and umping lease covering certain tide lands in Orange County , State of on Ocean fro California, commencing at the west boundary line of the City of Huntington Beach and extended easterly along the line of high tide to 17th street in the City of Huntington Beach, and extending southerly from said high tide line into the Pacific Ocean, a distance of 1500 feet thence westerly on a line parallel to line of high tide to a point opposite point of beginning, thence northerly 1500 feet to point of beginning;and on motion by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee Mitchell same was taken under advisement. Cut Curb On motion by Trustee Harris seconded by Trustee I;4itchell the applications of the Superior Oil Company to cut curb atLd construct driveway in Block 221 lots 22, 24, 26 and Block 122 was allowed under the supervision of the City Engineer. The application of the Wilshire Oil Company to cut curb and Ci?t rlarb construct driveway Lot 16 Block 117 was on motion by- Trustee Harris seconded by Trustee Mitchell allowed under the .supervision of. the City Engineer. On motion by Trustee Mitchell seconded by Trustee Harris the application of IN H Griffin for license to conduct a pool and pool H-11 billiard parlor at 118 Main Street was approved, same bearing the 118 I"in St appr6val of the Chief of Police. On motion by Trustee Harris seconded by Trustee Mitchell Gas Lines the application of Riehfielr. Oil Com-pary to ?.ay certain gas lines was approved and the City Engineer authorized to issue permit in accordance with ordinances and Resol*gtions now in effect. The Clerk read an application of Meyers Realty Company to erect and occupy a real estate office et the corner of 17th and Real. Est,cte Olive Streets in the new oil district and on motion by Trustee office 17thgarris seconded by Trustee Mitchell same was granted. St section A. Letter from the Chamber of Comn?erce asking the City council Improve -Sts to assist in the . r6vement of certain Streets in &hd leading to the _E east side district was by the chaa$ referred to the City List Side Engineer. On motion by Trustee Mitchell seconded by Trustee Harris the Sign application of Beverly Young to erect hospital sign at 302,16th St was granted. At this time, 8:10 PIA the Chair declared at short recess . Reces Meeting again called to order at 8 :30 P M by President Boster. : hrton Trustee ';Wharton arrived at 8:30 Pl?I. On motion by Trustee Mitchell seconded by Trustee Wharton the Bond surety bond of the Union Oil Company was approved and ordered filed.
