Council Chamber,Huntington Beach-Nov 1-1926
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 o'clock PM
by President Boater.
Trustees present: Boster,Mitchell,Harris.
Trustees absent : Wharton.
Minutes Oct. The Clerk read the minutes for the month of October, and on
motion by Trustee Mitchell,seconded by Trustee Harris, same were
approved as read.
On motion by Trustee Harris,_seconded by Trustee Mitchell,the

The request of Will H Gallienne to increse�; the membership
of the band by seven additional men for the Armistice day
Armistice day Celebration, and that the rate of pay for the band be $230 for
Band one hour and half or $260 if required two hours,was on motion
by Trustee Harris,seconded by Trustee Mitchell granted.
Recess At this time, 7:50 P M. the chair declared a short recess
for the purpose of auditing and signing the demands and warrants.
Meeting again called to order at $:30 P M bylpresident
Boster.
The Clerk read a letter from the City and County of San
Traffic officers Francisco calling attention to the meeting of the State Municipal
convention Traffic League to be held in Fresno November 15,19 and 20th,and
on motion by Trustee Mitchell,seconded by Trustee Harris the City
Attorney and Chief of Police were authorized to attend and that
the expense of the trib be born by the City.
' Boxing Permit On motion by Trustee Harris seconded by Trustee Mitchell
the permit for boxing bout October 29th was approved.
The Clerk read the resignation of Adver�tisi�ng manager
Resignation of C G Reynolds,and on motion by Trustee Mitchell,seconded by Trustee
Adv Mngr Reynolds Harris same was accepted and the office of Advertising Manager
abolished.
Ord.288 Ordinance No 288 was at this time given its second and final
adopted reading and on motion by Trustee Harris,seconded by Trustee
Mitchell,Ordinance No 288 was passed and adopted by the following

Absent Trustees Wharton
The question of providing sewer for the East side was referred
East Side sewer the City Engineer for investigation and report at the next
meeting of the Board,
On motion by Trustee Mitchell,seconded by Trustee Harris
the City Clerk was instructed to write the Library Board again
Library Toilets calling attention to toilet facilities in the Library and
requesting that both men' s and women' s toilets be open to the
public during the hours the library was open,
On motion by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee Mitchell
17th St park the City Engineer was instructed to post notice to the effect
toilets closed that the 17th Street Park toilets will be closed commencing
one week from November 1st, until further notice.
On motion by Trustee Harris seconded b� Trustee Mitchell,
Demands demands numbered 6567 to 6708 were approved and ordered paid.
The Clerk read reports of the City Engineer,City Recorder,
Monthly Reports City Clerk and City Treasurer,and on motion by Trustee Mitchell
seconded by b Trustee Harris,same were approved and ordered filed.
Hoyt,portable The application of W R Hoyt to conduct a portable restaurant
restaurant on the East side of 17th Street was referred to the City Clerk
to act in accordance with Ordinances in effect.
Adjourned On motion by Trustee Mitchell,seconded by Trustee Harris the
Board adjourned until 7:00 o ' clock November 8th,1926.
