Trustee Mitchel 11__ In the absence of President Boster, on motion by Trustee chairman pro-tEm hank, seconded by Trustee Wharton, put and carried, Trustee' Ut-shell was appointed'President and chairman pro-tem_ of the Board of Trustees. i Trustees present. . . Wharton, Shank, Harris , Mitchell Trustees absent Boster. Peace Officers On motion by Trustee Harris seconded by Trustee Shank an expend- ' Association iture of not to exceed $225.00 was authorized to provide food and entertainment for the County Peace Officers Association Meeting to be held in the City Auditorium on the evening of February 2nd. 1927- Demand On motion 'by Trustee Wharton seconded by Trustee Shank demand No 70761 was allowed. and ordered paid. Y On motion by Trustee Wharton seconded by Trustee Harris the: Bond W. C. Hill of W C Hill Electric Company to engage in the Electrical contracting Electric Co. business and the Bond City Transfer and Storage Co to engage in the house moving business were approved and ordered filed. On motion by Trustee Wharton seconded by Trustee Shank the City Transfer of, Clerk was authorized to transfer $2157.50 from the Gas fund to gas Gas fund bonds interest and redemption as follows Gas Bonds No 1 the sum U $250.00 and Gas Bonds No 2 the sum of $1907.50. The Clerk gave Ordinance No 298 its second and final reading, and Ord 298 on motion by Trustee Wharton seconded by Trustee Harris Ordinance No 299 was passed and adopted by the following Vote: Ayes, Trustees Wharton, Shank, Harris , Mitchell Noes Trustees None Absent Trustee Boster. The Clerk gave Ordinance No 299 its second and final reading and Ord 299 on motion by Trustee Wharton seconded by Trustee Harris Ordinance No '299 was passed and adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Wharton, Shank, Harris, Mitchell Noes Trustees None Absent Trustee Boster The Clerk read Resolution No 569 Ordering the work of installing Resolution 569 an ornamental lighting system along Huntington Avenue, and on motion by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee Shank, Resolution No 569 was passed and adopted by the following vote: Ayes Trustees Wharton, Shank, Harris , Mitchell Noes Trustees None Absent Trustee Boster Followed a general discussion of the kind of pipe to be used in Action on V. D he proposed Vista Del boar Sewer , and on motion by Trustee Shank , sewet deferred teconded by Trustee Harris the matter of further action on the pro- ceedings for the installation of a sewer system in the Vista Del Mar District was deferred until 7:30 o' clock P )i of Monday February 7th, 1927. The application of the Golden Bear Cafe to install electric sign Electric sign was referred to the' City Engineer for investigation before action could be taken. This being the time for awarding the contract for furnishing the City Police Department with a new roadster, on motionYby Trustee Bid on roadster Harris, seconded by Trustee Shank all bids for furnishing a six accepted cylinder roadster for the City Police Department were rejected ex- cept the bid of Groover Brothers of Huntington Beach in the amount of $1,350.00 and the bid 0f Groomer Brothers was accepted. Action on Fire On motion by Trustee Shank seconded by Trustee Harris the matter Truck deferred of awarding contract for furnishing the City Fire Department with a truck was deferred until 7:30 o' clock P M Monday February 7th, 1927. Motorcycle On motion by Trustee Wharton seconded by Trustee Shank the salary Salary of Motorcycle officer Parker was restored to the rate of $190 per r month effective January 1st, 1C927. ; On motion by Trustee Harris, seconded by Trustee Thank the ( Minutes Jan 31st, 1927) Street Superintendent was ordered to install full stop signs i StopSins at the following streets , 15th Street on the southwesterly side of g Palm Avenue, Palm Avenue on both sides of 14th-;'1-and 14th Street on both sides of Palm, entrance of both sides of Main Street at inter— section of Orange avenue and Olive Avenue respectively. There being nothing further to come before the Board at: this time, Adjourned on motion by Trustee Shank, seconded by Trustee Harris the Board j adjourned.
