HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928-04-23 3, M I N U T E S City Hall, April 23rd, 1928. > Pursuant to adjournment, the Council was called to order at 7:JO PPS by Mayor Bowen: Roll call Councilmen present : Butcher ,Mitchell , Conrad,Harris,Bowen. absent : None ' Mayor Bowen announced that Mr W B Mandeville desired to '.address the Council, thereupon Ilr Mandeville announced that he represented C of C petitions the Chamber of Commerce in petitioning the Council for funds to Council for *funds cover the expense of a display in the Anaheim Valencia Orange show for Orange Snow during the latter part of May, 1928. Mayor Bowen referred the matter to the MUSIC & PROMOTION Committee with request for an early report. Demand paid On motion by Harris seconded by Conrad, demand No 9740 was approved and ordered paid. The Clerk read a letter fro.-,I Geo F King calling attention to Need for fire need for fire hydrant at the corner of Main & Wesley for the pro- hydrant at Main pro- -4- of oil property. On Clyde A Teeter motion by Harris, seconded by Conrad the License Clerk was be revoked directed to revoke license and notify Mr Teeter of the Council ' s action. On motion by Hlitchell seconded by Butcher the aplica.tion Junk Dealer of Sam Horwitz for license to engage in the business of Junk , license approved. dealer at 111 Third Street was approved and the Clerk authorized to issue license in accordance with Ordinances in effect. On motion by Mitchell seconded by Conrad the application of Lunch Counter H. L. Grant and J. W. Dolan to conduct lunch counter at 19th Street approved between I,11agnolia and Acacia was approved.
