Councilmen present: Butcher , Conrad, Mitchell, Harris ,Bowen. Minutes The Clerk read the minutes for the month of March , and. on motion by Harris seconded by Conrad same were approved as read.. The Music and Promotion Committee were directed to invest- Auto Camp igate the Auto Camp lease which expires July 15th, 1929 , and T lease submit their recommendations at next meeting. The Clerk read letters addressed to the City Engineer written by the Richfield Oil Co. , Shell Oil Co . , Union Oil Co. and Ord. 323 Associated Oil Co. , relative to Ordinance No. 323 , rig guying, Rig guying followed by reading of Ordinance No. 323 for the second and last time. On motion by Conrad, seconded by Harris , rig CD guying Ord.- inance No. 323 was passed and ador,ted by the following vote: Ayes Councilmen Butcher , Conrad., Mitchell , Harris , Bowen. Absent " None Noes " None Chief Steward informed the Council that bus stop resolution Bus stops' would be ready for next meeting of the Council. y Councilman Harris asked for more time in which- to prepare Building code report on the uniform building code. The Committee on business license revision stated that the Business license work-was .progressing and. expected to have the ordinance ready for first reading at next meeting. i Vicious dogs The Clerk gave Ordinance No. 324, regulating the care of Or din ance , :r, vicious dogs , its first reading. Ord. 325 prohibiting Ordinance No. 325, prohibiting the distribttion of circulars dist. of circulars was given its first reading at this time. The Music & Promotion Committee reported favorably on the application of the Chamber of Commerce for $419.00 to defray C. of C. expense of printing 11 ,000 ad.vertisng circulars , and on motion $419. 00 by Harris seconded by Butcher the Treasurer was authorized to honor warrant in that amount.. Tent at On motion by Mitchell seconded by Harris the application of Orange & Main J Tucker to erect tent temporarily on lots 22 and. 24 block 303 was approved. Cafe on' lots On motion by Conrad seconded by Mitchell the application of 5 and 6 , Bl- 103 John Roach to erect one story brick building on lots 5 and 6 block 103 was approved. Apartments The application of Fred. Pickering to erect stucco apartments 218-220 - 5th St. over buildings locAted at 219 and 220 , 5th street was referred to the' building inspector with authority to issue the permit if it meets with his approval. This being the date set by the Council for opening and Sale of part receiving bids -.for the sale of a portion of lots 10 and 5 , B1. lots 1,3 ,5 B1 301 301; the Clerk opened and read the proposal of Guissep,Di Palladino in the amount of $100.00. There being no other bids , on motion by Conrad seconded by Butcher the bid. of (GuissApp Palladino was accepted and the Attorney directed to prepare the necessary resolution authorizing the City to issue deed. C of C wants The application of the Chamber of Commerce to have a town ' town clock clock installed. in the business section was referred. to the installed Music & Promotion Committee. Demands On motion by Harris. seconded by Mitchell , demands numbered 1079 to 1173 were approved and ordered paid. The Clerk read. monthly reports of the Health Dept. , Chief of Monthly reports Police , Police Judge, Engineer , City Clerk and City Treasurer, and 1 on motion by Conrad seconded. by Mitchell same were accepted and ordered. filed. Main street Mayor Bowen recOm. mended that the Council and Engineer make lights a tour of inspection and. examine the various lighting standards. All agreed to make the trip Friday April 5th, starting at 9:00 o 'clock A M. _ The City Attorney was directed to prepare an amendment Ord. amending to Ordinance No 1 and amendment Ordinance No. 95 , designating Ord.. No. 1 the time and place of meeting of the Council so as to read 7: 30 PM during the months of April , May, June , July, August and Settember instead of 8:00 91 clock PM.
