June loth, 1929
Pursuant to adjournment of June 3rd , the Council was called
to order at 7:30 PM by Mayor Bowen:
Councilmen present: Bowen, Butcher , Conrad, Mitchell
Councilmen absent: Harris
Ord. 328
first reading The Clerk gave ordinance No 328 , regulating dance halls its -
first reading.
Palladino Matter of deed to Palladino deferred.
This being the date set by the Clerk for opening and. examining
Bids on Camp bids for sale of Municipal Camp groung equipment , the Clerk opened.
Ground equip- and read bid of the Huntington Beach Company proposing to pay the
meat City $500 for the buildings and all equipment. There being no other
bids , on motion by Conrad seconded. by Mitchell the offer of the
Huntington Beach Company was accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk
authorized and directed to join in executing a cancellation of the
ground lease with the Huntington Beach Company.

Fire Dept The request of' fire chief Sargent for the city to furnish
insurance on automobile insurance on private cars of the voluntary firemen was
autos referred to Attorney Blodget for an opinion.
On motion by Butcher, seconded by Conrad the temporary business
bond of J W Mitchell was accepted and ordered filed. Councilman
Mitchell not voting.
Recess At this time 8:30 W the Mayor declared a, recess to consider
the Huntington Beach Band proposal to play during summer months .
Meeting again called to order at 8:45 PM.
The. Music and Promotion Committee informed the Council that
Band they recommended that the offer of the Huntington Beach Band be
not accepted. Thereupon, on motion by Conrad seconded by Mitchell
the recommendation of the Music and Promotion Committee was
adopted, and the offer declined'.
On motion by Conrad. seconded by Butcher demands numbered
Demands 1419 to 1436 were approved and ordered paid.
On motion by Conrad. seconded by Butcher the Council adjourned
until Monday June 24th at 7: 30 PM.
