City Hall Dec 16th, .1929
Pursuant to adjournment of Dec , ', the Council was called
to order at 7;,30 pm by Mayor Bowen.
Councilmen present: Bowen,Butcher,Conrad,'iIitchell ,Harris.
The Clerk gave Ordinance No 329 its second and last readirg
Ord 329 and on motion by Conrad seconded by Harris Ordinance No. 329
derricks was passed and adopted by the follo-wing vote;
Ayes ; Councilmen Butcher , Conrad, Harris , Mitchell , Bowen,
Noes ; None
Absent; None
City Engineer ROSSOn presented and the Clerk read a report
Engineer ' s pier in which City EnCD
gineer Ro,=son and. Thos Berry recommended the X
report immediate repair of the Municipal pier and. that the construction
of the' -proposed 500 ft extension be of reinforced. concrete.
Reso 623 The Clerk read. Resolution No. 623 determining and declaring
RE Bond Election that the public interest and necessity demands the acquisition
and construction of certain municipal improvements , and on motion
by Conrad sed.onded by Harris Resolution No 623 was passed. and
adopted by the following vote;
Ayes Councilmen Butcher, Conrad., Mitchell , Harris , Bowen,
Noes Councilman None
Absent Councilman None

On motion by Conrad seconded by Butciier� Attorney Blodget was
Pier legal authorized to engage a consulting attorney in the preparation of
matters -the necessary papers for the calling of a municipal election to
vote on a special bond issue.
-� Demands On motion by Harris seconded by Mitchell , demands numbered
2224 to 2279 were approved, and ordered paid.
Repr . 17th Engineer Rosson stated that as soon as plans -ere completed
& Main Sts for the repair of 17th St and Vain St he would notify the Water
Company to repair lines under these streets.
Engineer Rosson said that the matter of demoliChing three
Derricks unsafe derricks was progressing.
On motion by Conrad seconded. by Harris the Council adjourned
City Clerk and. ex-officio Clerk of the
Council.
