March 24th, 1930. pursuant to adjournment of Thursday March 20th, 1930. the Council was.-called to order at 7.,30 p m by Mayor BBw6n Councilmen present: Bowen, Butcher , Conrad, Mitchell , Harris. Councilmen absent None This being the date set by the City Council for opening and Bond Sale examining bids for the sale of Huntington Beach Municipal Wharf Bonds 1930 and Huntington Beach Wharf�-tExtens.ion Bonds 1930, the Clerk opened and read the following proposals or bids: NATIONAL BANKITALY COMPANY of Los Angeles, California. $6o 000.00 HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL WHARF BONDS, 1930 the sum of 460,000.00 ( ar) plus accrued interest to the date of, delivery and the sum of V93.00 as premium: 062,000.00 HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL WHARF EXTENSION BONDS, 1930, the sum of $62,000.00 (par) , plus accrued interest to the ,date of delivery and the sum of $963.00 as premium. 5 Cashier' s check in the amount of3,660.00 accompanied the bid. Cashier's check in the amount of $3700.00 accompanied the bid. 1 Following motion by Councilman Conrad "That the bid of DEAN DEAN WITTER CO WITTER & CO, . be accepted and all other bids be rejected. " Motion awarded seconded by Councilman Harris , put and carried by the following vote: Ayes Councilmen: Butcher, Conrad, Mitchell, Harris , Bowen Noes Councilmen: None Absent Councilmen: None Whereupon Resolution No.629 was regularly introduced and nn motion by , Conrad seconded-by -Harris same ,was .passed aril adopted;; Reso # 628 by..the foll owing,vote s; Ayes _ Oouncilmen .But cher,Conrad,Mitchell,.Harris ,Bowen Noes `Councilmen 'None The application of W R McKee to erect and operate topping McKee topping plant at the Intersection of Park and Springfield streets was on plant motion by Harris seconded by Butcher ,denied. On motion by Butcher seconded by Mitchell, the City Clerk was authorized to employ the firm of R D Crenshaw Company, certified Annual audit public accountants to audit the city records for the two years period commencing March lst, 1928 to February 28th 1930 inclusive. On motion by Conrad seconded by Harris the City Clerk was directed to notify the Supervisor of the State Mining Bureau Demolish (Division of Mines and Oil) to the effect that unless restrained derricks by Court action the City .Council would proceed to abate the nuisance caused by dangerous derricks located in Block 812 of Wesley Park Tract.. 81 Engin6pr Rosson reported that he hoped to have plans and specifications for the repair and extension of the Municipal, pier .j - ready by April 7th or soon after.
