City Hall, Oct 27th, 1930 ,
Pursuant to adjournment of October 6th, the Council was called to
order at 7:30 PM by Mayor Bowen;
Councilmen presett: Bowen, Stevens , King
Councilmen absent : Conrad, Butcher.
Engineer Rosson submitted plans and specifications for the
St. Paving improvement of the following streets; Portions of Wesley Ave, Quincey St. ,
Crest Ave, Indianapolis Street, loth Street and Utica Street.
On motion by King, seconded by Stevens said plans and specifications
were approved, and the City Clerk directed to advertise for sealed bids

for doing the work and furnishing the material , bids to be opened and
examined Monday November 17th at 7:30 P M.
Engineer Rosson informed the Council that the work of dismanteling ,
Derricks dangerous derricks was progressing, also that the contractor was carrying
Pier on the work of reconstruction and extension of the municipal pier in a
very satisfactory manner. A
The application of the Long Beach Chapter of Disabled Veterans to
Disabled sell articles on the streets was referred to commander Herb- Gray of the
'Veterans
American Legion Post, this City.
On motion by King seconded by Stevens , the Mayor and City Clerk were
Bank Deposit authorized to execute agreement on behalf of the City with the Security
�2u0,000 at
$2 First National Bank for the transfer of $200,000 to a one year time deposit
account, interest to be 3% instead of 22�0.
On motion by Stevens , seconded by King, demands approved by the
Demands
Finance Committee were ordered paid.
The matter of application of Mr Cusolito to operate tram on new pier
Pier 'Tram
was laid over and -Mr Cusolito advised to take up with Attorney Blodget
for contract.
The Clerk was directed to communicate with owners of property along
the easterly portion of Ocean Ave and secure prices asked for additional
frontage for highway purposed necessary to widen to 100 feet.
On motion by Stevens , seconded b .L t o cil adjourned.
