City Hall, Monday January 18, 1932.
Pursuant to adjournment of January llth the City Council met
and was called to order at 10:0.0 AM by Mayor Conrad.
Councilmen present; Butcher, Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad.
Councilmen'; absent: None
Interocean Oil Co.Members of the Council informed the Chair that they had been
complaint
served with a complaint and summons by the Interocean Oil Company
against the City of Huntington Beach and others. Complaint No.29161.
On motion by Stevens seconded by Huston City Attorney Blodget was
authorized and directed to answer the complaint and appear for the
City Council and the individual members of the City Council in the
above named action.
Cafe license On motion by Butcher seconded by King the application of
H. E. Talbert for license to conduct a cafe at 427 Main street
was approved.
Beach front Attorney Blodget informed the Council that he had telephoned
attorneys for the Standard Oil Cortlpany, Huntington Beach Company
and others relative to certain changes to be made in the proposed
easement covering beach front property and that he had been
informed that the changes would be made according to his request;
also that he expected the easement to be received by Monday the 25th.
Golf Course fees The matter of a revision of fees charged on the Municipal Golf
revised
Course was discussed. It was agreed by the Council that plain
fees be fixed as follows:
500 per day
35¢ after 3: 30 in the afternoon.
12 plain tickets good for the purchaser and members of family
$5.00'
Monthly tickets good each and every day $5.00.

named as a committee to proceed with. the painting and erection of
the three signs for advertising the golf course.

Finance Committee were ordered paid.
Fire fighting Fire Chief Sargent submitted a list of equipment required by the
equipment Fire Department in fighting fire especially inside buildings. On
motion by Huston seconded by Stevens the Fire Chief was authorized
to order through the City Controller the equipment as outlined
in the Fire Chief s request, total cost not to exceed $1,169.50.

first reading The Clerk gave Tax Ordinance No. 349 its first
reading at this time.
Bond accented on motion by Butcher seconded by Stevens the surety
Chief of police
bond of. Chief of police L. F. Keller was accepted and..
ordered filed.
On motion by Dutcher seconded by Huston the Council
adjourned until 10:0.0 AM. Monday, January,25th.
