City Hall, Monday,.Feb. 15th, 1932.
Pursuant to adjournment of February Sth the City Council met
and was called to order at 10:00 AM by Mayor Conrad.
Councilmen present; Butcher, Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad.
Councilmen absent; None.
Drainage conditions The Clerk read a letter from F. E. Bundy calling attention

of the City Council to bad drainage conditions existing in the.
vicinity of 13th and Orange. The matter was referred to Super—
intendent of Streets Wirth.
Parking space On motion by Butcher seconded by King Superintendent of
Streets Wirth was directed to improve parking space between the
Standard Oil Station and 6th Street in accordance with a map
submitted by Mr. birth this date.
Rate reduced on The Clerk read a letter from the Southern -California
street lights on
certain portions Edison Company informing the Council that rates on streetlights
east side
had been reduced for certain portions of the East side.
On motion by Stevens seconded by Butcher the application
Shell Oil Co. tanks
of the Shell Oil Company to install one thousand gallon gas tanks
at 7th and Ocean was approved.
Fred Brown appeared before the Council and complained about
Waste yvater
cast side waste water settling on a portion of his ten acres on the East side
and informed the Council that the water was coming from the vicinity
of Brunton Lake and along Delaware Avenue.
Ordinance No.350 the Clerk gave drdinance No. 350, relative to waste water
disposal, its first reading at this time.
Disinfectant for On motion by Huston seconded by Stevens the Chief of Police
jail
was authorized to purchase a 30 gallon lot of disinfectant for the
City jail.
The Chair called a recess at this time'11;00 AM. Council
again called to order 11:20 AM.
Attorneys fees The Clerk read a letter containing recommendations for
attorneys' fees for Attorneys Blodget and Overacker in the Beach
Front case. The recommendations were signed by Judge G. K. Scovel,
L.A.West and H. J. Forgy all of Santa Ana. The Clerk was directed
to write the three attorneys and thank them for their efforts.
Attorney Blodget informed the Council that there were certain
other matters such as recording deed and etc. to be attended to
before the beach matter could be entirely closed.
A motion by Councilman King that the report of the
'arbitration committee in the matter of fees for Attorneys
Blodget and Overacker be held over for one week lost for want of
a second.
Resolution No.bbi The City Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 661
accepting deed.to a portion of the beach front. On motion
by King seconded by Huston Resolution No. 661 was passed
Demands
and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen -'.,Butcher, Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad.
NOES': Councilmen : None
On motion by Huston seconded by Stevens demands
approved by Finance Committee were accepted and ordered paid.
On motion by Huston -seconded by King the Council
adjourned until 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 23rd.
