M I N U T E S
City Hall, Monday April 18th, 1932
The City Council met pursuant to law at 7:30 PM, and
was called to order by Mayor Conrad.
Councilmen -present: Butcher, Huston, Stevens,King,Conrad.
Councilmen absent None.
Mayor Conrad informed the Council that they were met
pursuant to statute for the purpose of canvassing the
votes of the General Municipal Election which was held
on April llth, 1932.
VOTE canvassed Whereupon the clerk opened and submitted the election
records of the various election boards, and the report of
said Board being checked and found correct, the Clerk
presented and read Resolution No.664 declaring the result
of -said election, a copy of said resolution is attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Resolution No.664 On motion by King seconded by Butcher Resolution No.
664 was passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Butcher, Huston,Stevens,King, Conrad.
NOES Councilmen None
There being no further business coi_ie before the
Council, on motion by Hust ded b ing, the
Council adjourned.

City Hall, Monday April 18th, 1932
The newly elected Council was called to order by the
City Clerk at 8:30 PM.
The Clerk administered the oath of office to the newly
elected Councilmen, Elson G. Conrad, J Ed Huston and
John H. Marion, who in turn took their seats around the
Council table.
The Clerk also at this time administered the oath of
office to the newly elected Treasurer, Harvey S. Young.
Councilmen present:
C. H. Ring, E. B. Stevens, Elson G. Conrad,
J. Ed Huston and John H. Marion:.
Conrad The Clerk then called for nominations for Mayor to
elected Mayor serve for the ensuing term, whereupon Councilman Huston
nominated Councilman Elson G. Conrad, nomination seconded
Councilman
by/King. On motion by Stevens seconded by King the
nominations were closed and. the Clerk directed to cast a
unanimous ballott in favor of Elson G. Conrad to officiate
as mayor for the ensuing term.
Mayor Conrad then took his chair, and appointed Council-
men King and Huston on the Finance committee pro-tem.

approved by the Finance committee were ordered paid.
Then followed short talks by interested citizens and

the newly elected Councilmen, in which tribute was paid,_
Bayard Butcher the retiring councilman, and to the newly
elected officerq.-

adjourned until 10:00 AM, Wednesday April 2Sth, 1932.
