City Hall, Tuesday July 19th, 1932
Pursuant to adjournment of July l8th, the Council met and
was called to order at 10:00 A.M. by Mayor Conrad.
Councilmen present; Conrad, Marion, Huston, Stevens, King.
Councilmen absent ; None.
Unemployed The Clerk read request of the Association of Unemployed for

the sum -of $$50.00 per week for the ensuing four weeks, and on motion -
by Huston seconded by Stevens the sum of $200.00 was appropriated from
the Music & Promotion fund for that purpose.
Beach camping The Engineering department submitted estimate for the

construction of two toilets on the beach front.
Pier Lunch The Clerk read application of J. DeGuelle for lease and

permit to operate lunch room on the municipal pier, monthly rental of
$15.00 per month until September 30th, then reduced to $10.00 per
month until. May lst.
On motion by Bing seconded by Huston the permit was granted,
and the City Attorney directed to prepare contract in accordance with
the application.
Beach rest rooms On motion by King seconded by Marion the City Engineer was
authorized to proceed with plans and construct one of the rest room
buildings on the beach front at a point on the beach opposite First
Street. Permission to construct sewer line under P E Railway first
to be secured.
Check writer The Clerk informed the Council that the insurance on the
Insurance
check writer now in use had expired. After some discussion the
Council agreed unanimously that insurance was not desired.
Paste water. Councilman Marion informed the Council that there were some
40 oil operators who were not taking out permits to diispose of waste
water. On motion by Marion seconded by King the matter was referred
to the City Attorney with instructions to draft an ordinance re—
quiring permits to be taken out in the event such action is necessary.

Publication of
reports
monthly a detailed statement of receipts and disbursements in the
Huntington Beach News. On motion by Stevens seconded by Marion the
Controller was directed to prepare report and publish same in detail
monthly.
