Councilmen present: Marion, Huston, Stevens, King. Councilmen absent : Conrad. King Mayor pro -ten On motion by Huston seconded by Marion, Councilman King was appointed Mayor pro-tem in the absence of Mayor Conrad. I:Fa.rion - Finance Mayor King appointed.Councilman Marion on the Finance Committee. Minutes On motion by Marion seconded by Huston the Minutes of the -- Council for the month of October were approved. Fire Dept. The Clerk read a letter from the Chief of the Fire Department in which that department informed the Council that toys and other -r presents were being made for Christmas presents. Manages The application of Chester -A Manges for reduction of rental for pier concession was referred to the Beach and. Pier Committee for its recommendation. Bids for fire At the reauest of the Fire Chief, and on motion by Stevens ,pose seconded by Marion the Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for furnishing the city fire department with 500 feet of fire hose. Bids to be opened December 5th. 1414,.ndsor club The application of the Windsor Club to move club building onto �! Lake Park was�i�ferred too the Streets and Parks Committee for their recomme ndati on. Derricks Letter signed by AssIt. Engineer Overmyer relative to bad order derricks was referred to the Oil Committee. Derricks located at Lots 10-12, Block 519 and Lot 7, Block 314. Montbly reports The Clerk read monthly reports of the City Clerk, City Treasurer, Chief of Police, City Judge, Engineer and Supt.of Streets, and on motion by Huston seconded by Marion same were approved. Oil Proration Letter signed by R.E.Allen, Secretary of Central Proration r Committee relative to cancellation of $25.00 license fee during tests was referred to Councilman Marion, Chairman of the Oil Co-mmittee. Demands On motion by Stevens seconded by Huston demands approved by the Finance Committee were ordered paid. Funds in 1st State The matterrof adjustment of deposits now held by the Bask liquidation lst State Bank under liquidation and the disposition of the bonds held as collateral was referred to the City Attorney and the City Treasurer with power to act for the best - interests of the City.
