HomeMy WebLinkAbout1932-12-19r M I V U T E 8 City Hall, Monday December 19th,1932. PURSUANT TO ADJOURNMENT OF December 5th, the City Council met and was called to order at 10:00 Alt by Mayor Conrad. Councilmen present: Conrad, Marion, Huston, Stevens, King. Councilmen absent: None. -� On motion by King seconded by Huston the application of A. H. Dixon to install and.operate private gasoline tank and filling station on lots 11 and 12, Block 606, Main Street Section, was approved. Garlic The Clerk read a petition signed by a number of citizens and ~' olant property owners living in the vicinity of Yorktown and Hampshire Avenue -tea intersection who objected to the odor coming from a garlic grinding plant, also from unsanitary conditions existing in and around the pepper drying plants in that vicinity. On motion by Stevens seconded. by Marion the City Attorney was directed to draft an ordinance to regulate these plants and present �gTioyis 0rd.#356 at next meeting. Firemen's On motion by Huston seconded by Stevens the sum of $100 was CIM: i s tmnas F utid a.ppropria.ted for a Christmas fund, payable to the Huntington Beach Volunteer Fire Department for the relief of the needy and children. Demands approved by the Finance Committee were ordered paid on motion by Stevens seconded by Marion. At this time the Council recessed until 2:-00 PM. Council called to order at 2:00 PM by Mayor Conrad. Councilmen present: Conrad, Marion, Huston, Stevens,' King. ­%', After some discussion relative to the management of the golf cour-se, on motion by King seconded by Huston the Council adjourned until 7:;00 PM, Thursday December 22nd, 1932.
