S 1 M I M U T E S City Hall, Wednesday Plarch 15th, 1933 Pursuant to adjournment of March loth, the City Council met and. was called to order at 7:30 PM by Mayor Conrad: Councilmen present; Marion, -Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad. Councilmen absent : None. The Council discussed damages to the City Hall and council chamber caused by the earthquake of March loth, and upon advice of the Building Inspector it was decided to move to the Memorial Hall auditorium until necessary repairs were made. •1-Council meeting On motion by Huston seconded by Marion, put and carried the placed changed Council voted to designate the Memorial Hall auditorium as the regular meeting place of the City Council until further action by the Council naming a different location for meetings of the City Council. Demands On motion by Stevens seconded by Marion, demands approved by the Finance Committee were ordered paid. Ear-1quake On motion by King seconded by Stevens, the City Clerk was assistance directed to write letters to the following thanking them for their assistance following the Friday loth earthquake: Governor James Rolph for his offer, through Colonel Carlis W. Huntington, to assist in the reconstruction of damaged public utilities:, also for the services of State engineers and building inspectors in examining damaged buildings, the pier and other structures. City of Pasadena for the services of two building inspectors. The City of Alhambra for the service of one building inspector, the City of San Diego for the services of two building inspectors, the Joseph Rodman Post and the Windsor Club members for their assistance in policing the City. The City of San Clemente for its offer of assistance. The Standard Oil Company of Los Angeles for its offer of assistance. Mr. Art Wilson, Manager of the Standard Oil Company of Huntington Beach and the Shell Oil Com- pany of Huntington Beach.
