Councilmen present; Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad. Councilmen absent ; Marion. Bids Bead: This being the date set by the Council for opening and rest rooms examining bids for construction of rest rooms on the municipal beach, the clerk opened and read the following bids; Catching Bros., Huntington Beach . . . . . . . .1,662.00 T. J. Depew,5130 Shearin Ave.,Los Angeles ; . . 1,524.00 R.R.Hopper, 134 Fano St., Arcadia . . . .. . . . 1,560.00 Same were referred to the Engineering Department for analysis, and report. - Ord.. #361 ;+ The Clerk gave Ordinance No. 361, amendment to building Ordinance its second and final reading, and on motion by King seconded by Stevens'. -same was passed and adopted by the following vote; AYES; Councilmen Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad. NOES; Councilmen — None. Absent;Councilman Marion. Detr�atids Demands approved by the Finance Committee were ordered paid on motion by Stevens seconded by Huston. Golf Co ars e The Clerk informed the Council that the Huntington Beach _ Lease Company had returned the sub —lease of the golf course, objecting to the clause in which the city is to get a percentage of the net revenue. On motion by Huston seconded by King the matter was referred to the City Attorney to revise in accordance with the T wishes of the Huntington Beach Company. Lamp contract On motion by Stevens seconded by King, the lamp contract for the year May lst, 1933 to April 30th, 1934 was awarded to W. Frank Helm of Huntington Beach. Bids were received from ¢. G. Ward, Willis H. Warner, R.E.McIntosh, Bales Electric Co., A all at the same rate and on the same terms of 27% discount on original package lots and 17% discount on broken packages, based on a $1,200.00 per year consumption. Reso] - ution The Clerk read Resolution No. 685 directing the City #685 , Attorney to start action. to quiet title d-fi tideland lease held by the Pacific Exploration Co., and.on motion by Stevens seconded by Huston same was passed and adopted by the following vote; AYES; Councilmen Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad. NOES; Councilmen — None ABSENT; Councilman Marion. 07 1 1 L 1 Beer Applications Bids for Beach Carup lease Derricks Dog Lice_lss Beer Lic--use Orui ance The following applications to sell beer were received and ordered filed: D.D.Coplin, A.B.McDonald, Geo. J. Dench, A.L.O ber, J.A.Insley. This being the date set by the Council for examining bids for leasing a portion of the city owned beach for a camp ground, the Clerk informed the Council that no bids had been received. Euilding Inspector Overmyer stated that he is still making inspection of bad order derricks. Councilman King informed the Council that a number of complaints were being made on account of stray dogs without license. Matter referred to the license collector. The matter of submitting a beer license ordinance was deferred until 10:00 AM, Tuesday April 18th, 1933• On motion by King seconded by Huston the Council adjourned until 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 18th, 1933. The application of Walter Cooper for license to sell beer was ordered filed. On motion by King seconded by Huston the Council adjourned until 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 25th __1933.
