Beach Lease

M I N U T E S
City Hall, Thursday May 4th, 1933.
Pursuant to adjournment of 'May 3rd, 1933, the City Council
met and was called to order at 11:00 AM by Mayor Conrad.
Councilmen present: Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad.
Councilmen absent Marion.
On motion by Stevens, seconded by Huston, the application of
Mrs. Betty Stanley for Class No. 2 License to sell beer at lo6 Ocean
Avenue was approved.
Chair.
At this time Mayor Conrad.asked Councilman King to take the
Mr. Frank Marano appeared before.the City Council and asked
for lease covering approximately 1600 feet of beach front, beginning
at the easterly city limits and extending westerly, for,the purpose
of conducting a beach tent camp.. After some discussion relative to
length and terms of lease, on motion by Conrad, seconded by Stevens,
the Beach Committee was authorized and directed to confer with Mr.
Marano and the City .Attorney and ()prepare a lease, same to be
presented to the City Council for its consideration at 10:00 AM
Wednesday May loth, 1933:
The Clerk gave Ordinance No.363, amending beer Ordinance,its
first reading at this time.
The Clerk gave Resplution No. 697, claim on account earthquake
damages, reading at this time, and on motion by King seconded by Stevens
same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Huston, Stevens, Conrad, King.
NOES: Councilmen — none.
ABSENT: Councilman Marion.
On motion by Stevens, seconded by Huston, the Council adjourned
until 10:00 AM, Wednesday May loth, 1933.
