City Hall, Thursday May llth, 1933.
Pursuant to adjournment of May lOtn, the Council met and
was called to order at 10:00 AM by Mayor Conrad.
Councilmen present; Marion, Huston, Stevens, King, Conrad.
Councilmen absent*; None.
Beach raizp The Mayor called on representatives from the Chamber of
Commerce, Business Men's Association and American Legion for any
remarks relative to tLe construction and operation of a beach
camp gro unc,..
Lee Cnamness of the Business Men's Association stated tnat..-
nis organization wanted to see a camp ground in operation, but
asked that they be given until Thursday May 18tn to meet and agree
on the best method of procedure.
Warren Bristol of the Chamber of Commerce concurred and said
that a written recommendation should be submitted to the Council at
that time.
T. B. Talbert, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said
that would be agreeable with the Chamber of Commerce. LeVerne
Austin, Commander of the American Legion Post, said he was agreeable
to such a plan.
Mayor Conrad asked that the various committees get together

and submit a written recommendation giving location of proposed
grounds, class of structure, mode of operation of the camp, and
suggested means of financing the improvements.
On motion by Huston seconded by King,' --,Le Council adjourned
until 10;00 AM Thursday May 18tn, 1935. .
