Councilmen present: Conrad, Talbert, Stevens, King. Councilmen absent: Marion. nonat-ion of 0100.00 The Clerk read a letter from the Parent Teachers Association to P.T.A. for su')-)lie; for requesting that the Council appropriate $100.00 to be used for needy- purchasing Christmas dinner supplies for,the needy. On motion by Stevens, seconded by Talbert, the request was granted. On motion by Stevens seconded by Talbert, the written request of Roy K. Larson:. to run light and power line from beach rest rooms to the P.E. Depot was granted. The City Attorney was directed -to prepare the necessary contract covering this permission. 0. On motion by Talbert seconded by King, no action was taken on application of E.R.Ba.nk and J. L angdon to operate tango parlors in Huntington Beach. On motion by Stevens seconded by Talbert, and upon recommendation of the City Attorney, the City Clerk was directed to purchase a six volume g6-t. of THORNTON on the law of,oil and gas at a cost not to exceed $45.00 The City Clerk was directed to write the City Clerk of Inglewood and the City Clerk of Los Angeles and secure, if possible, a copy of their ordinance covering licensing of boiler firemen in the oil fields. Engineer Overmyer said that he had no report covering the matter of straightening Main Street at Garfield.
