Saturday March 30th, 1935• Councilmen present: Marion, Chamness,Warner,Tovatt,Talbert. Councilmen absent: None. GELZER, Chief of Police CONSENT TO MEETING CITY COUNCIL held at City Hall, City of Huntington Beach, Parch 30th, 1935 at the hour of 10t00 A.M. We, the undersigned being all the members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, do hereby give our consent to the holding of a special meeting of said City Council for the purpose of approving, ratifying and authorizing the execution of a certain contract by and between the City of Huntington Beach and J.C.Bauer relative to the repair of the pier landing and installing the fender piles at the end of the municipal pier and for the setting of the prevailing wage scale for the work therein contemplated. We hereby certify that we have signed this consent and that the same is on file in the office of the City Clerk, City of Huntington Beach at the time of this meeting. Mayor Counc Counc Counc Councilman C City Clerk Motion- R soa - 722 0 Following motion by Warner, "That the City Council hereby sets the prevailing rate of per diem wages in this locality for each craft or type of workmen to be employed•upon the municipal pier repair job as follows: Pile driver men 31:00 per hour Crane operators 1122 per hour Unskilled labor 500 per hour, and that the prevailing rate for legal holidays and overtime be set at one and one-half the above rates". Motion seconded by Tovatt, put and carried unanimously. The Clerk presented and read contract between the City and John C. Bauer for the repair of the municipal pier, also Resolution #722 adopting said contract and, on motion by Chamness seconded by Marion Resolution #722 was passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Marion, Chamness, Tovatt, Warner, Talbert. NOES: None ABSENT: None There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned on motion by Warner seconded by Chamness, City C1 rk and Ex-officio Clerk of the City Council. _-ATT ST• City Clerk.
