MINUTES
City Hall, May 20th, 1935.
Pursuant to adjournment of May 6th, the City,Clerk
appeared in the Council chamber at 7:30 P.M. and there being
no quorum present, the Clerk adjourned the meeting until 7:30
P.M. Friday May 24th, 1935.

City Hall, Friday May 24th, 1935.
Pursuant to adjournment of May 20th, the Council met and
was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Talbert.
Councilmen present~ Marion,Chamness, Tovatt, Warner, Talbert.
..Councilmen absent : None.
Mr.Stone Resigns The Clerk read a letter from Ormond A. Stone, consulting
as consulting
engineer engineer, in which Mr. Stone tendered his resignation as consult-
ing engineer for special plans for outfall sewer plant: On motion
by Warner seconded by Chamness, the request was granted. and the
City Attorney directed to draw up the necessary papers for mutual
cancellation of Mr. Stone's contract.
Weed This being the date set for hearing protests against the
Resolution
Council's resolution to abate the weed nuisance, the Clerk informed
the Council that there were no verbal or written protests against
the resolution. On motion by Marion seconded by Warner, the
Superintendent of Streets was directed to proceed to abate the
nuisance in accordance with notices posted.
Application - Mr. F. S. d rrie of Currie Engineering Company, 219
Mr. Currie L.
Anderson Building, San Bernardino, appeared before the Council
and addressed them relative to the designing of a sewage disposal
plant. Mr. Currie stated that their firm had been in business
in California since 1924 and that they had designed twenty sewage
disposal plants and that fifteen were now being built. "He
presented a, proposed agreement in which their company would under-
take to design a plant suitable for Huntington Beach, furnishing
plans and the necessary supervision for 8% of the total cost of
the plant. Mr. Currie's application was taken under advisement.
