City Hall, August 12th, 1935
Pursuant to adjournment of August 5th, the City Council met
and was celled to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Talbert.
Councilmen present: Tovatt, Warner, Talbert.
_- Councilmen absent Marion, Chamness.
Application On motion by Tovatt seconded by Warner, the written application

of D. K. Clapp for.concession in the proposed beach pavilion was accepted
and ordered f iled.
The application of James De Guelle for concession in the proposed
beach pavilion was received and ordered filed.
Moving pictures The Clerk informed the Council that he had received a reply from

an insurance company relative to permitting moving pictures in memorial
hall. That -the Pacific Fire Insurance Company were not opposed to ex-
hibiting moving pictures in the memorial hall and had issued an endorse-
ment permitting same. No action was taken by the Council.
The Clerk presented and,read a contract with the Mills Land and
Water Company covering right-of-way for the City's proposed new sewer line
and, on motion by Tovatt seconded by Warner, the Mayor and City Clerk were
authorized to sign in behalf of the City and the City Engineer was
instructed to prepare a blue prizit showing.the location of the proposed lines.
At the request of Fire Chief Sargent the Council voted to
allow the sum of $30.00 to cover expense of delegates to the Firemen's
Convention at Riverside September 2d, 3rd, 4th and 5th. This, on motion
by Warner seconded by Tovatt.
On motion by Warner seconded by Tovatt, the Council adjourned
until 7:30 P.M. Wednesday August 21st, 1935•
