The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order at 7:30 P M by Mayor Talbert. Councilmen present: Marion, Chamness, Tovatt, Warner, Talbert. Councilmen absent: None. On motion by Marion seconded by Chamness, Minutes for the month of August were approved as read. The Clerk informed the Council that this was the date set for establishing tax rate for the fiscal year July 1, 1935 to June 30, 1936. I� Resolution No. 729 setting the rate for the fiscal year was read and, on motion by Warner seconded by Chamness, same was passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Chamness, Marion, Tovatt, Talbert, Warner. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. The Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 730 authorizing the Mayor to sign application to the State Board of Public Health for permission to install and operate a_sewage disposal plant and on motion by Tovatt seconded by Marion, Resolution No. 730 was passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Chamness, Marion, Talbert, Tovatt, Warner. NOES: None ABSENT: None. A representative of the Occidental Life Insurance Company addressed the Council and asked permission to call upon city employees with a view of handling life insurance premiums through the payroll department. The matter was deferred to the next meeting of the Council and referred to the City Attorney for his advice. .On motion by Tovatt seconded by Marion, Council adjourned until 7.30 P.M.
