Zone of Property A letter from Mr. Overmyer, the Building Inspector, called
attention to a letter from Mr. Bowen which the clerk read, with
reference to a requirement of the Building drdinance which
prevents construction of garage as planned on Mr. Bowen's property
in Block 205. This matter had been brought up at a prior meeting
and the City Attorney and City Engineer instructed to prepare
necessary map and amendment to cover change in zone of.property.
Hampshire Mr. Griley; Right of Way Agent, being present, was requested
Avenue to explain present situation regarding widening of Hampshire Ave.
Mr. Griley advised that about 95% of property owners had signed
easement deeds or had expressed themselves in favor of the project.
Due to fact that there are no funds for -improvement as contemplated
until the period 1937-39, his suggestion was made that Council
adopt a 501 set back ordinance for Hampshire Avenue so that new
work will not be in way of improvement when made. Also gave his
opinion that at this time the easement deeds should be made for
101 instead of 20' as new deeds would be required because work
could not be done in time limit as given in obtaining original
easements.
After some discussion, motion was made by Warner and seconded
by Chamness, that the execution of certain checks for damages be
authorized in accordance with list as presented by the Right of
Way agent, and that the City Engineer be authorized to deliver
the checks when deeds for Right of Way are obtained and all
arrangements made to his satisfaction. The list contained the
