City Hall, Tuesday Dec. 10th,1935.
Pursuant to adjournment of December 4th, the Council met
and was called to order at 7:30 P.M by Mayor Talbert.
Councilmen present: Talbert,Warner, Tovatt, Chamness.
Councilmen absent : Marion.
Grant The Clerk reams, letter from the Federal Emergency Adminis-
tration of Public Works informing the Mayor that the sum of
$$36,891.00 had been granted the City for the purpose of aiding
in the construction of a sewage disposal plant. The letter was
ordered filed.
The Mayor appointed Councilman Chamness bn the.Finance
Committee.

Estimate,on f ire The Clerk read an estimate by Fire Chief Sargent covering
truck repairs
necessary repairs for the fire truck pump and also for a new
truck and other equipment total of which was $$3,600.00. On
motion by Warner seconded by Tovatt, the Fire Chief was authorized
to proceed to have the fire truck pump repaired at a, cost of ap-
proximately $$150.00 plus labor.
Trimming trees After some discussion relative to planting and trimming trees,
the Council decided that the work i,Tould have to be discontinued
on account of there not being a sufficient amount in the budget
to take care of the work this year. The Mayor informed Mr.
Wardwell that the work would be discontinued after December 21st.
Councilman Marion arrived at this time, 8:05 P.M.
Sewage disposal City Engineer Overmyer and consulting Engineer Curry sub -
plant '
mitted plans for the new sewage disposal plant. Mr. Curry
informed the Council that the next step would be.to-submit

plans to the government in order that the city might be in a
_ position to get its cash grant for the work. After some dis-
cussion it was decided to meet again on December 16th for the
purpose of approving plans and specifications and for the
�1 purpose of pass ng__o.f�.,t5iTage scale resolution.
Drain pipe Engineer Overmyer stated that he and Mayor Talbert had
conferred with Chairman Mitchell of the Board_ of Supervisors
relative to the county furnishing and installing drain pipe
along Newland Avenue easterly from Atlanta Street and ex-
tending to the new proposed sewage plant and that the Super-
visor had agreed to furnish P.W.A. labor free of cost to the
city but that the city would have to furnish the 12 inch pipe.
Cost of the pipe to come out of the city's.portion of the
city's gas fund now held by the county and amounting to
approximately $5500.00.
Mr. Overmyer recommended that the Council take action
as soon as possible to use the $5500.00 above referred to and
that unless this amount is claimed prior to June 30, 1936,
it will likely revert to the credit of the County.
On motion by Warner seconded by Marion, Council adjourned
until 7:30 P.M. December 16th, 1935.

Pursuant to adjournment of December loth, the City Clerk
appeared at the council chamber at 7:30 P.M. and there being no
quorum present, the Clerk adjourned the meeting until 7:30 P.M
Wednesday December 18th, 1935.
