MINUTES.
City Hall, May 8, 1936.
Pursuant to adjournment of May 4, 1936, the Council was called
to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor ?Varner.
Councilmen present: Morehouse, Chamness, Talbert, Henrickson, Warner.
Councilmen absent : None
Upon.motion by Talbert, seconded by Morehouse, the City Engineer
Frankfort was instructed to prepare maps, plans and specifications for the
Street improvement of Frankfort Street from Alabama Avenue to Delaware
Avenue, for presentation at next meeting.
- A motion was made by Chamness, seconded by Morehouse, that the
Harvey City Attorney notify Mr. Harvey Walker that his lease of building on
Walker pier as a concession would not be renewed, and give him orders to
vacate June" 1,1936, date of expiration of his lease.
After some discussion as to rental of the building to be
vacated by Mr. Walker, it was agreed that those interested should
submit their proposals to the Council for their action.
By motion of Talbert, seconded by Henrickson, the City Clerk was
Bonds
authorized to transfer bonds owned by the City for $13,932.22 plus
accrued interest to delivery in return for $20,000 Huntington Beach
Gas System Bonds at a price of $23,638.26 plus accrued interest, the
difference to be paid in cash from the Gas Bond Fund.
City Attorney Overacker was appointed by Mayor Warner to re —
League of
Munic. present the City at meetings of the League of Municipalities, Orange
County division.
Pier The Council instructed the Street Superintendent t.o have lights
Lights onipier which have been otit of service turned on for summer season.
Upon.motion by Henrickson, seconded by Chamness, Council
adjourned to Monday, May 18, 1936 at 7:30 P.M.
