MINUTES
City. Hall, Monday June 15th, 1936.
Pursuant to adjournment of June 12th, the City Council met
and was called to order at 4:00 P.M. by the City Clerk.
Councilman present: Morehouse, Chamness, Talbert, Henrickson.
Councilmen absent Warner.
Mayor pro ten On motion by Chamness seconded by Hienrickson, Councilman
Talbert was appointed mayor pro tem.
Wage Scale- City Attorney Overacker informed the Council that it would

be necessary for the city engineer to testify concerning prevailing
wage scale for the improvement of Frankfort Stree.t. City Engineer
Overmyer testified under oath that to the best' of his knowledge and
belief the scale as set forth in proposed Resolution No. 747 was the
scale for doing similar work in the vicinity of Huntington Beach.
Whereupon the Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 747 covering
prevailing wage scale and on motion by Chamness seconded by Henrick-
son,-Resolution No. 747 was passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Morehouse, Chamness, Henrickson, Talbert.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Warner.
Chamber of The Clerk read a letter from the Chamber of Commerce recommending
Commerce
certain lighting improvements along Ocean front and along Main Street
and informed the Council the same letter had been presented and read
at a meeting on May 23th. Upon motion by Henrickson seconded by
Chamness, the City Engineer was directed to install 24 additional
lights along.Main Street between Ocean Avenue and Olive and 12 between
between 3rd and 5th Streets on Ocean Avenue. Same to be 100 watt and
to be operated temporary at the pleasure of the City Council.
Surety Bond- On motion by Chamness seconded by Henrickson, the surety bond of
C P Pann
Judge C.P.Pann:in the sum of $2000.00 was approved and ordered filed.
Adv. for bids r_ On motion by Henrickson seconded by Chamness, the City Clerk was
Frankfort St.
directed to advertise for bids for the improvement of Frankfort Street
and that prevailing wages as set forth in Resolution No. 747 be adopted.
Bids to be opened and examined at 7:30 P.M., Monday July 6th, 1936.
On motion by Chamness seconded by genricks n, the Council adjourned.
