Resolution

City Hall, Thursday August 6th, 1936.
Pursuant -to adjournment of August 3rd, the City Council met and was
called to order at 8:00 P.M by Mayor Warner.
Councilmen present: Warner, Morehouse, Chamness, Henrickson.
Councilmen absent Talbert.
The Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 751, requesting extension
of time for completion of sewage disposal plant and, -on motion by Henrickson
seconded by Morehouse, Resolution No. 751 was passed and adopted by the
following vote:

AYES: Councilmen Morehouse, Chamness, Henrickson, Warner.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Talbert. -
At this time, 8:45 P.M., Councilman Talbert arrived.
The Clerk reed a letter from the Pa'cif is Electric railway stating that
they would be unable to lease to the city additional ground adjoining the
municipal camp ground for the reason that in doing so it might jeopardize
their title to the property. The letter was ordered filed.
Imp. suggested Councilman Chamness suggested that the camp ground be improved by
at camp
ground adding another rest room building and the installation of hot and cold
showers. He also stated that the ground was in need of better lighting
facilities. The matter was taken under advisement until a later date.
Slant The Clerk read a letter from the State of California, Division of
Drilling
Parks, in which it was recommended that the City Council pass a.resolu-
tion approving an initiative measure which will appear on,the November
ballot permitting slant drilling in the Huntington Beach area. On motion
by Talbert seconded by Chamness, the matter of adopting a resolution was
referred to the oil committee and the City Attorney to prepare and submit
to the Council at its next meeting.
On motion by Talbert seconded by Henrickson, the Council adjourned

until 4:30 P.M., Friday August 7th, 1936.
