MINUTES
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF.
City Hall, 10:00 AM Wednesday,
August 26th, 1936.
Pursuant to adjournment of August 19th, the City Clerk appeared at
the Council Chamber at 10:00 A M. There being no quorum.present, he
adjourned the meeting until 7:30 P.M. Monday, August 31st, 1936.

City Hall, Monday August 31st, 1936.
Pursuant to adjournment of August 26th, the City Council met at
7:30 P.M.
Councilmen present: Morehouse, Chamness, Henrickson.
Councilmen absent.: Talbert, Warner.
On motion by Morehouse seconded by Chamness, Councilman Henrickson
was appointed chairman pro-tem.
Resolution The Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 753, accepting completion

of the sewage disposal plant and outfall sewer and, on motion by Chamness
seconded by Morehouse, Resolution No. 753 was passed and adopted by the
following vote
AYES: Councilmen Chamness, Morehouse, Henrickson.
NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilmen Talbert, Warner.
Budget The Clerk informed the Council that the budget submitted to the State
Board of Equalization had been accepted and approved.
C. of C. On motion by Chamness seconded by Morehouse, the Council appropriated
the sum of $150.00 to apply on expenses of staging "Black Gold Days" by
the Chamber of Commerce, September 5th, 6th and 7th.
Neon sign On motion by Chamness seconded by Morehouse, the application of Al
Rothgery to erect Neon sign on Lots 1 and 2, Block 104 at 107 Main Street,
was approved.
Metal sign On motion by Morehouse seconded.by Chamness, the application of Willis
"--H. Warner to erect metal sign at 112 Main Street, was approved.
Ord.#393- The Clerk gave Ordinance No. 393, zoning ordinance, its second and
-passed
final reading at this time and on motion by Chamness seconded by Morehouse,
Ordinance No. 393 was passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Chamness, Morehouse, Henrickson.
NOES: Councilmen - None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Talbert, Warner.

Demands Demands approved by the Finance Committee were ordered paid,
on motion by Chamness seconded by Morehouse.
Fire Hose On motion by Chamness seconded by Morehouse, the City Controller
was authorized to purchase 200 feet of 12 inch fire hose, coupled, at
not to exceed 750 per foot.
The Council adjourned, on motion by Chamness seconded by Morehouse.
