MINUTES
City Hall, Tuesday Nov, 24th,1936
Pursuant to adjournment of November 18th, 1936;_the City
Council was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor.Warner.
.Councilmen present! Warner,Morehouse,Chamness,Talbert;Henrickson.
Councilmen absent : None.
Letter commending The Clerk read a letter from Edgar B. Hervey; Los Angeles,
Officer Robidoux
commending Officer Robidoux'for the courteous manner in which he
addresses.,violators of the Motor Vehicle Act. The Clerk was
directed to acknowledge receipt of the letter and file the same.
Street Councilman Morehouse stated that residents in the vicinity
Lighting of 8.33 P,r�;nkfo.rt-."Street.: were asking for additional street lighting.
The Council being of the opinion that the "street was as well
lighted as in other parts of the city took no action.
Beach Pavilion City'.
ity Engineer Overmyer submitted plans and specifications
for the"construction of the beach pavilion and -civic auditorium.
Resolution The Clerk read Resolution No. 764 of the City Council
No . 764
designating the name of the beach front building as follows:
"Beach Pavilion and Civic Auditorium",'and on motion by Talbert
seconded by Chamness, Resolution No. 764 was passed and adopted
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Morehouse,Chamness,Talbert,Warner, Henrickson.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
Resolution Engineer Overmyer informed the Council that he had made a

detailed study of the plans and specifications for the new building
and recommended that a resolution adopting same be passed by the
Council. The Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 765 adopting
plans and specifications for the new beach pavilion and civic
auditorium and, on motion by Chamness.seconded by Henrickson, Re-
solution No. 765 was passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Morehouse,Chamness, Talbert, Henrickson, Warner.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen: None.
Wage Scale The City Attorney informed the Council that it;would be
necessary at this time to pass a resolution adopting the prevail-
ing wage scale for this vicinity. Whereupon City Engineer Overmyer
testified, under oath administered by the City Clerk, that he is
the regularly appointed, qualified and acting city engineer of the
City of Huntington Beach, that he is.:..d registered civil
engineer of the State of California and that he is familiar with
the prevailing wage scale for skilled and unskilled labor in this
vicinity.

Resolution
Resolu The Clerk presented and read Resolution No. 766 adopting
the wage scale for skilled and unskilled labor to be employed in
the construction of the new Beach Pavilion and Civic Auditorium
and, on motion by Chamness seconded by Talbert, Resolution No.
766 was passed and adopted by.the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: lAorehouse,Chamness,Talbert,Henrickson,Warner.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen: None.
On.motion by Henrickson seconded by Chamness, the Council
adjourned.
