City Hall, Monday, November 15, 19:37
Pursuant to adjournment of November 8th, the City Council met and
was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor garner.
Councilmen present: Warner, Morehouse, Chamness, Talbert, Henrickson.
Councilmen absent.; Norie.'

AYES: Councilmen Morehouse, Henrickson, Talbert, Chamness, Warner.
NOES Councilmen - None.
ABSENT: Councilmen - None.
Pursuant to provisions of Resolution No. 789, the.City Council
o hereby,declares:
1. That the whole number of votes cast in the City of Huntington
Beach exclusive of.absentee votes was 1445.
That the whole ~number of absentee votes was 15.
That the total number of all votes cast in' said
election was 1460.
2. That the names of the persons 'voted 'for, the offices for
which they were voted, tie 'number of votes given in each
o precinct for each person; the absentee votes given to each
person together with the'whole number of votes in the
entire City were as follows:'

Mayor Mayor Warner addressed himself to the newly elected officers and
Warner
stated_he and the,Council stood.ready to cooperate with and assist them
in their work and trusted that they would give the City and the City Council
I` the same consideration. Retiring Judge Pann addressed the Council and
thanked the Council and voters for their help and cooperation.

-"Upon motion by.Councilman Henrickson seconded by Councilman
Ohamness, the Clerk was directed.to prepare,.execute and mail three
copies of_excerpts of minutes of this date and forward same to the
F'ederal-Emergency:Administration of Public Works, San Francisco.
The Clerk read a.change order. submitted by Engineer Overmyer
covering construction of 13th Street.storm drain and, on motion by
Morehouse seconded by Henrickson, the Council accepted the change
order as outlined by the Engineer and authorized payment required in
making the change.
Extension of The Clerk read a letter. from.A.. L. Gabrielson asking for
Time - 13th
St. Storm extension of .time in the construction of the 13th Street storm
drain
drain due to.additional work and,. on motion by Talbert seconded by
Chamness, the request was granted without penalty.
Closing Report o The closing report of Judge C. P. Pann was read and, on motion
Judge Pann
by Talbert seconded by Henrickson,.same was accepted and ordered
filed. .
.The City Council directed the City Controller to check the
accounts of outgoing City Judge Pann.
Legion Auxiliary The Clerk read a letter from the Legion Auxiliary inviting
extends invitation
to Council the City"Councilmen and their families.to attend a dinner at
Memorial Hall,.6:30 P.M., November.26th. The letter was ordered
filed.

The Clerk read a letter from the Chamber of Cordmerce recom-
mending that additional benches be placed on the municipal pier
for the convenience of.fisher-men, same.was taken under advisement.
A check of $129.80 was received from the Huntington Beach
Indoor,Baseball League together with .a .statement of accounts of the
Club. On motion by Talbert seconded by Henrickson, the check was
accepted and the report.or.dered filed. . . . . .
.On motion by Chamness seconded .by, Henrickson:;_ the surety bonds
of City. Judge C..P. Patton and.City. Attorney Ray H. Overacker were
accepted and -ordered filed.
On motion by Talbert seconded by Chamness, demands approved by
the Finance Committee were ordered paid.
.At this time the City Clerk administered the oath of office to
the newly elected officers, C.P.Patton, City Judge, H.L.Grant, Chief of
Police and Ray H. Overacker, City Attorney. Short talks were made by
each of the newly elected officers.
