MINUTES
City Hall, Huntington Beach, Calif.
Saturday, October 22d, 1938.
Pursuant to adjournment of October 21st, the City Council met and
was called to order at 10:00 A.M. by Mayor McCallen.
Councilmen present: Morehouse, Chamness, Talbert, Henrickson, McCallen.
Councilmen absent: None.
Skeet Club On motion by Chamness seconded by Talbert, the Council allocated the
sum of $68.61 to the Huntington Beach Skeet Club for building improvements,
with the proviso that the officers -sign an agreement guaranteeing to return
all improvement materials to the City of Huntington Beach at such time as
the organization ceases operations.
Ord. #418 - The Clerk presented and read for the first time, Ordinance No. 418

Regulat- "An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach, California, declaring and

defining an emergency to exist and regulating the application for and the
the drilling of oil wells within said City of Huntington Beach."
Vacation On motion by Henrickson seconded by Morehouse, the City Clerk was
granted a vacation from Monday October 24th to 4:00 P.M. Friday October
28th, 1938.
On motion by Councilman Henrickson, seconded by Councilman Chamness,
the City Council adjourned until 4:00 o'clock P.M. Friday October 28th, 1938.
