City Hall, Huntington Beach, Calif.
Monday, July 10, 1939
Pursuant to adjournment of July 5th, the City Council met and
was called to order at 8:00 o'clock P.M. by the City Clerk.
Councilmen present: Morehouse, Chamness, Talbert, Henrickson.
Councilmen absent: McCallen.
' On motion by Henrickson seconded by Talbert, Councilman Chamness
was elected mayor pro-tem.

On motion by Henrickson seconded
by Talbert, demands approved by

the finance committee were ordered paid.
Petition -
The Clerk read a petition signed
by a number of property owners
renaming of
along Frankfort Street asking that the
renaming of Frankfort Street be
Frankfort St.
deferred and referred to the Planning
Commission for their study and
advice and, on motion by Henrickson seconded
by Talbert, the request
was granted.

Mr. Wardwell
On motion by Talbert seconded by
Morehouse, the City Engineer and
City Attorney were authorized to prepare a description of the property
proposed to be purchased by George W. Wardwell at the intersection of
Main Street and Frankfort Street extension, also prepare deed and
submit to the City Council at its next meeting.
Application - On motion by Morehouse seconded by Talbert, the application of
hotel
Elizabeth H Wright to conduct hotel at 3071 Main Street was approved.
Reso. #846 The Clerk read Resolution No. 846, determining and declaring that

the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition and completion
by the city of Huntington Beach, California, of a certain municipal
improvement and, on motion by Henrickson seconded by Talbert, Resolution No.
846 was passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Morehouse, Talbert, Henrickson, Chamness.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen: McCallen.
On motion by Morehouse seconded by Talbert, the surety bond of H C.
Sanderson and H. M Mylar, doing business as Electric Motor Repair Shop,
was accepted and ordered f sled.
On motion by Henrickson seconded by Talbert, the Council adjourned
until 7:30 P.M. Monday, July 24th, 1939.
