HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-11-07Page 5 - Minutes Nov.3, 1941 Ai roraft Associates Councilman Talbert informed the Council that he had been in communication with Aircraft Associate-., of Long Beach relative to the establishment by them of a landing field and. manufacturing plant in or near the easterly city limits. Mr. Talbert stated that the land could be bought at approximately $350.00 an acre and. that the total cost to the City would be approximately $95,000.00 including the purchase of the land, drainage and runway® The matter was re- ferred back to Councilman Talbert and the City Engineer to prepare and submit a preliminary estimate of the cost of drainage, runway, etc., after w1aic].! it was agreed by the Council to meet with the prospective lessee.
