Monday, November 10, 1941
Pursuant to adjournment of November 7, 1941, the Council met and
was called to order at 4:00 P.M. by Mayor McCallen.
Councilmen present: Grable, Chamness, Morehouse, McCallen.
Councilmen absent: Talbert (Councilman Talbert arrived at 4:05 P.M.)

Estimate of The Clerk read letter from the City Engineer submitting estimate of

to -the City Council as a whole for consideration. Mr. Talbert submitted
map and price for proposed purchase of additional land including the re-

locating of the Pacific Electric Railway. This land is in area adjoining
recent' -.purchase from Mills Land and Water Company.
Letter from Councilman Talbert submitted and Mayor McCallen read letter from
P.E.Ry. Co.
Pacific Electric Railway Company regarding city purchase of certain
parcel of land, the cost of same and the cost of moving track. Council-
man Talbert retained the letter.
League mews At this time Mayor McCallen read a.paragraph from the League News
Letter
Letter, issue of October 1941, outlining municipal finance planning
during the defense period.

Request for St.

Hampshire
There was some discussion regarding Clerk's statement of
expenditures for the month of October with reference to over-
drawn accounts.
` Councilman Morehouse presented a request for street
ig,ht on Yorktown east of Hampshire. The City Engineer was
itructed to find out if Yorktown is a dedicated street east
:ampshire.
G On motion by Cha-mness seconded by Talbert, the Council
adjourned until 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 24, 1941.
