Pursuant to call of the Mayor, the original of which is attached hereto and made a part of these minutes, the City Council met in special session at the Council Chamber at 4:30 P.M. Councilmen prevent: Talbert, Henrickson, Grable, Hawes, Morehouse. Councilmen absent: None. ic Agreement - The Clerk resented and read a proposed Co. of Orange p p posed agreement between the County of Orange or A.A.Beard as property officer of Orange County and the City of Huntington Beach with reppect to loan by the OFFICE OF CIVILIAN DEFENSE of facilities and supplies required for the protection of persons and property against bombing attacks, sabotage and other war hazards and, on motion by Councilman Henrickson seconded by Councilman Grable, the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to execute same on behalf of the City. Harry A.Overmyer - The following motion by Councilman Grable: "That Harry A. Overmyer, appointed property Director of Civilian Defense, be appointed local property officer with officer authority to receive loan of equipment from O.C.D. through the County of Orange." Motion seconded by Councilman Henrickson, put and carried unanimously.
