Monday, July 13, 1942 Pursuant to Statutes and the Charter of the City of Hunt- ington Beach, the Board of Equalization of the City of Hunting- ton Beach met and was called to order at 7:35 P. M. by Mayor Talbert. Members present: Henrickson, Grable, Hawes, Morehouse, Talbert. Members absent: None. The City Clerk read a letter from Mary Jane Martin, 2911 Vista Street, Long Beach, asking that the assessed valuation on Lots 1 and 3, Block 113, be reduced. The Clerk informed the Council that the request had been received previous to March 1st and that 'Lot 1 had been reduced from $660 to $600 and Lot 2 re- duced from 0590 to $540 on the.assessment roll. The Clerk read a letter from Faye Clements of Hamilton, Iowa, asking that the Board of Equalization reduce the assessed value on Lots 9 and 11, Block 609, Huntington Beach, 5 The Mayor inquired if there were any in the audience who desired to make objections to the assessments made by the assessor. There was no response from the audience. On motion by Henrickson seconded by Hawes, the above named protests were denied and the assessor directed to write : letters explaining the reason why the assessments could not be reduced at this t ime'e On motion by Morehouse seconded by Grable, the assessments made by the assessor and the assessment roll for the current year was accepted and approved as.approved by the Board of Equal- ization and on motion by Henrickson s c.onde y Ha s, the Board adjourned. ity Cland ex-►offic��lerk i of the Board of Equalization.
