ATTEST: Cit C er MINUTES 4-1 Mayor Council Chamber, City Hall, Huntington Beach, California Monday, December 20, 1943. Pursuant to adjournment of December 13th, the City Council met and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Talbert. Councilmen present: Henrickson, Grable, Hawes, Morehouse, Talbert. Councilmen absent: None. After some discussion by the City Council, on motion by Morehouse seconded by Grable, the application of Clarence Williamson to operate poolroom at 121 Main Street was denied. The matter of the cleaning up of the two poolrooms now operating was referred to the Health Committee, Morehouse and Hawes. The Mayor asked Mr. Dan Patch if he had met with George Mitchell relative to making some arrangement for the use of the dance hall Pav-A-Lon. Mr. Patch stated that he had but that no agreement had been reached. The Clerk read contract between the City and George Mitchell for use of the Pav-A-Lon dance hall. The contract was referred back to the Beach and Pier Committee and the City Attorney for amendments. On motion by Hawes seconded by Henrickson, th Council adjourned.
