MINUTES
City Hall,
Huntington Beach, C lif.
Friday, Dec. S, 1944
The special meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning
Commission met and was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by the
secretary.
• Members present: Overacker, Hudson, Overmyer, Furr, Shaw,
Elliott and Bristol. (Elliott arrived at
7:45 P.M. Bristol arrived at 9:30 P.M.)
Members absent: Langenbeck and Culbertson.
Visitors: Mayor Talbert and W. M. Clegg.
Consulting Engineer G. M. Parks was present.
Minutes On motion regularly put and carried Ray H. Overacker
was elected chairman pro-tem.
The secretary read the minutes; there being no errors
• or omissions, same were approved.
At this time, 7:45 P.M., Vice-president C. L. Elliott
arrived and took the chair.
Proposed The secretary distributed copies of the proposed
Ordinance ordinance and copies of the State Planning Act to the new
. members.
W. J. Bristol arrived at this time, 5:30 P.M.
Amendment The following amendment to the by-laws, heretofore pro=
to by- posed on November loth reading as -follows: "That the regular
• laws meeting of.the Huntington Beach Planning Commission be at
7:30 P.M. on the second Friday of each and every month, pro-
viding that if such Friday falls on a holiday, the commission
will i4eet on the following Friday", was passed and adopted by
unanimous vote.
There follow6d a general discussion of the work here-
tofore performed and to be performed by the Planning Commission.
Consulting Engineer Parks explained in detail the work prepared
by the commission up to this time.
Mr. Elliott suggested that in future meetings, the
commission take under consideration special districts and work
them out one by one until completed.
• Zoning Engineer Overmyer volunteered to prepare a number of
maps zoninj%aps to be distributed to the members of the Commission
at its next meeting which will be held Friday, January 12, 1945.
There being no further business, the commission
adjourned.
