Friday, February 9, 1945
The regular meeting of the Huntington Beach Planning
Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President
Langenbeck.
Members present: Langenbeck, Bristol, Furr, Hudson, Shaw,
Elliott, Overacker and Consulting Engi-
neer Parks.
Members absent: Overmyer and Culbertson.
Minutes On motion regularly put and carried, minutes for
January 12th were approved as read.
Junk yard Attorney Overacker informed the Commission that the
objections of the Commission to the operation of a junk
yard at intersection of 17th and Garfield had been heard
by the Orange County Planning Commission and permit had
been rejected. He stated that the Orange County League
.of Cities had petitioned the Orange County Planning Com-
mission to notify cities when applications were received
for projects within one mile of any Orange County city and
that this request had been approved.
1.1r. Shaw - Ed Shaw gave a verbal report on an inspection trip
report on in- Saturday, January 27th. The trip covered most of the
spection trip City of Huntington Beach and a study was made of future
highways.
Road Ilap Engineer Parks presented and explained the proposed
road map and read.report on proposed extension of Main
Street and highway and the correction of defective inter-
sections.
Highways On motion by Bristol seconded by Hudson, Engineer
Parks was authorized to make a study of highways outside
of and near the vicinity of Huntington Beach for a further
report.
Subdivision Engineer Parks was authorized to look into the matter
Ord. of preparing a subdivision ordinance for the City of Hunt-
ington.Beach.
City Council The Commission directed the secretary to invite the
City Council to meet with the Commission at its regular
meeting 7:30 P.M. March 9th for the purpose of discussing
important matters.
On motion by Bristol seconded by Overacker, the
meeting adjourned.
