HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-04-05-10 MINUTES Y Council Chamber, City Hall, Huntington Beach, California Friday, April 5, 1946 Pursuant to adjournment of April 1st, the City Council met and was called to order at 8: 00 o'clock P. M. by Mayor Talbert. Councilmen present: Henrickson, Grable, Hawes, Bartlett, Talbert. Councilmen absent: None. Public Mayor Talbert announced to the audience and to the City Councilmen Hearing that this was the time set for a public hearing on the proceedings of the Planning 'Huntington Beach Planning Commission and that said hearing had been r. Commission Ordinance advertised in the Huntington Beach News in accordance with State Law governing the proceedings to be had by the Planning Commission and the -' City Council of the City of Huntington Beach. The Clerk presented and read the following as submitted by the Planning Commission: .� 1. Summaries of hearings. 2. Report of Findings. 3. Recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, California. The Clerk informed those present that he had on file the proposed districting ordinance referred to in 1. Summaries of Hearings, 2. Report of findings, •� 3. Recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, California. Map Consulting Engineer Parks, at the request of the Mayor, called * attention of the audience and the City Council to a colored map on the wall and explained that this was not the official map but that the colors -� designated the districts in accordance with the official map which was spread on the council table and open to public inspection. ti Engineer Parks explained in detail the various land uses as proposed by the Planning Commission. • The Mayor asked if anyone in the audience wished to be heard. Mr. Waters Don L. Waters addressed the Council and stated that he was the owner of Lots 33 and 35 in Block 705, Wesley Park Tract, and that Lot 33 was in the multiple area while Lot 35 is in the single family area. He asked that Lot 35 be placed in the multiple area so that both lots would have the same status. The Commission ordered that the matter be taken under advisement with a view of amending the planning ordinance to agree with the request of Mr. Waters. Ord. #495 The Clerk presented and read Ordinance No. 495, same being a 4 First reading districting ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach, California, above referred to.
